Common spits a freestyle live at Madison Square Garden during Halftime at the Jordan Classic. While I was filming Common, I get a text from NYMDOT saying “I c u!! MSG Flow”. So I turn around and there NYMDOT is with Murda Mook. Small world, but in NYC, Hoops and Hip-Hop are the same thing. If you’re from NYC, you probably played basketball religiously. During that time you most likely, wrote rhymes. I know I did. I remember freestyling with Shagari Alleyne before our games sometimes. I have a video of me freestyling in a Karaoke booth in Las Vegas, with Ronald Ramon, Russell Robinson, Sundiata Gaines, and a ton of other people. As a recent release to the Air Jordan roster, the Alpha 1 holds some obvious hints of the quintessential Air Jordan 1. Providing a contemporary update to the sneaker, the updated performance specs maintain a similar aesthetic. An upcoming May release of the Air Jordan Alpha 1 includes an all-black upper with clear outsole. The upper is comprised of reflective 3M and perforated panels.
Provider offers a peek into an upcoming neon pack from Vans. Although its nothing new, since we’ve seen these florescent colors used before, most notable within the Supreme collaboration from last year, they still have a distinct look to them and are now being made available as a general release. Hit the jump to see Boston Celtics Addidas & Air Jordan Fusion 8...Among the first few hybrids out of Jordan Brand, the upcoming Spiz’ike will make a return under one of Jordan Brand’s most popular “Grape” colorways. Originally seen on the Air Jordan V, the Spiz’ike inherits that same purple hue with minimalistic hits of Emerald Green. However other elements are incorporated into the overall design including a perforated upper, an embroidered 23 on the heel and custom lacelocks. An early release is available through Kinstor.
Stussy unveils a further look into its latest collaboration with renowned graffiti artist Eric Haze. Aside from an extensive clothing collection, the lineup also features footwear, more specifically a triple shoe set with PRO-Keds. Utilizing the brand’s Royal Plus Low, each of the three designs pairs Haze’s classic camo print on the uppers with nicely accented colors.

Coming off a stellar year in 2009, as far as co-lab projects are concerned, Solebox looks to continue the success into the new year.
